The firm was established over 30 years ago by Paul Pellarini. It provided the conventional services of a traditional small suburban accountancy firm, which then consisted of nine employees, including compliance and general accountancy for small to medium sized businesses.

Fleming Stojanovski joined the firm in 2000, and after 4 years became Firm Manager bringing with him skills and training gathered from practitioners of some of the world’s largest and most well known professional service firms.

In 2005 Fleming developed and established the Commercial Associates brand and became a full equity director in the firm.

With a new identity and vision for the future the firm moved to offices in Sydney’s CBD and expanded substantially: a Financial Planning division headed by Director Andy Matthews was introduced in 2008 and 2010 saw the introduction of two new divisions, the Audit and Assurance division, headed by Director Tom Nolan and the Business Services division headed by Director Paul Pellarini.

The firm has also grown by merger and acquisition with 2007 and 2008 respectively seeing the acquisition of both an accounting and financial planning firm.

2012 was a year of another year of substantial growth as we sought to be more easily accessible to individuals and businesses in Western Sydney. This led to the establishment of our Parramatta office in April 2012, and was followed by the launch of additional service offerings to meet the need of clients; Our Business Finance Division headed by Richard Korda, and our Risk Management Division, headed by Justin Said were established.

Commercial Associates was recognised in Australia’s list of 2012 and 2013 BRW Top 100 Accounting Firms, by our most prestigious finance magazine Business Review Weekly, a further demonstration to our commitment to meeting our goals. With over 35 staff, we are committed in everything we do so that our clients can rest easy knowing that the solutions we present, the work we do, and the advice we deliver is of the utmost quality.

The directors and the staff of Commercial Associates are proud of the progress the firm has made since its inception, but it is the success of our clients that drives our workplace.
